I've been seeing lots of videos and tweets about themed club nights in the past few months. And I'm very jealous that all these cities have entire nights dedicated to One Direction and the Jonas Brothers. So in spite of my envy, I'm putting together my ideal throwback themed club night playlist. If any Boston venues want to take note, I'd be happy to provide more feedback.

Need I say more? This is the ultimate party starter that could get everyone - from grandmas to 2000s babies like me - up and moving.
2. Holding Out for a Hero - Bonnie Tyler
This song immediately makes me think of Shrek, but in the best way possible. And it's a jam in its own right.
3. ...Baby One More Time - Britney Spears
I couldn't make a dream playlist without Britney Spears. This one is a classic that's known by pretty much everyone, so it'd be perfect for a throwback themed event.
4. It's Raining Men - The Weather Girls
How I wish I was alive when this song came out! I guess I'll have to settle for my Wii Just Dance memories.
5. Hung Up - Madonna
Is it appropriate to admit that I love Madonna's top hits? I love this one because you get a bit of ABBA mixed in and it's a great dance track.
6. Genie in a Bottle - XTina
Yes. This is my favorite song to blare in the car, and I would happily attempt to dance to it all night long.
7. Buttons - The Pussycat Dolls
Honestly any Pussycat Dolls song would do in my book. But this one has a great beat and screams early 2000s to me.
